Mr. Zola Majavu CD (SA) – Chairperson

Chairman – Mr Zola Majavu is the Sole Proprietor of a law firm practicing under the name of Majavu Inc. He was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 1995 and lectured final year LLB students at the University of the Witwatersrand Law Clinic until the year 2000 whilst practicing for his own account. His fields of expertise include, amongst others, Labour Law, Matrimonial Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Sports Law, General Litigation and Public Sector related matters. He continues to hold various leadership positions.


Mr. Chris R. Burger

Chris is a senior researcher for the CSIR. He has more than three decades of experience in radio communications systems and in aviation. Apart from an MEng degree in electronic engineering and a BCom in Aviation Management from the University of Pretoria, he holds Airline Transport Pilot Licences and instructor ratings in South Africa and the USA. He is a Designated Flight Examiner (Class 1) for the SA Civil Aviation authority.He has flown more than 190 aircraft models on all continents and in over 40 countries. His experience includes large jets, turboprops, seaplanes, helicopters, gliders and hot air balloons. He once regularly flew VIP and ambulance jets throughout Africa. He ran an aviation training school for more than a decade. He has penned four textbooks for pilots and radio amateurs. Chris spent a decade researching the issues around unmanned aircraft systems, including technology requirements and regulatory policy. He is a senior officer in the South African Air Force Reserve. He is a retired Air Traffic Controller and an accredited professional linguist. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, travel, music, amateur radio and distance running. He is a Certified Director through the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa


Ms Precious Sibiya CA(SA)

Precious is an accomplished executive and non-executive director with many years of experience in various leadership roles. She has more than 20 years corporate experience in finance, risk management, financial management, supply chain management and compliance. She is a seasoned professional who has worked in various roles across diverse industry sectors (viz logistics, energy, financial services, insurance, consulting) within private and public sectors. Her roles range from Internal auditor, Risk manager, General Manager Finance to Internal Audit Director. She has served and continues to serve on various boards and audit committees in the roles of Board member, chairman, deputy chairman and committee member. Her current boards are Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA), Ithala Development Finance Corporation (IDFC), NERSA, Awca Investment Holdings (AIH) and Reef Tankers(Pty) Ltd. She has previously served on the boards of Sentech, Union Life, NEHAWU Investment Holdings (NIH), qnd South African Reserve Bank Captive Insurance Company Limited (SARBCIC). Precious is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), Institute of Directors (IoDSA) and African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA). She completed her articles at Deloitte where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She is also a registered business rescue practitioner.


Ms Nomathemba Kubheka

Ms Nomathemba Kubheka is the founder and CEO of MILZET Consulting Services a property development and facilities management company. Milzet Consulting Services manages multi-million-rand projects for clients like Joburg Property Company, Penel Properties, TFMC, Department of Public Works to mention a few. Before starting MILZET, Nomathemba honed her negotiations and project management skills at various private and public sector organizations including as senior consultant at the IQ Business Group, as assistant director of business regulations at the Gauteng Economic Affairs and Finance; as a researcher in the Department of Local Government and Development Planning, and in logistics at the Independent Electoral Commission. She worked at the University of the Witwatersrand, Department of Construction Economics, and Management. Her passion for skills development and youth empowerment flourished in the late 1990s as the shifting political and economic landscape exposed the country’s great need for qualified workforce that contribute positively to black economic empowerment through sector economic charters. This contributed to the birth of MILZET skills development institute. Nomathemba is a graduate of Wits University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and an MSc in Building. She currently serves on the board of SANCO Development Institute (SDI), SANCO Investment Group (SIG), and the Mining Qualification Authority (MQA). Previously she served on the Qualifications Committee for Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). Internationally, she is a member of the world’s largest skills association, Association Talent Development (ATD, formerly American Society).


Mr Khulile Boqwana

Khulile Boqwana has more than 18 years regulatory experience in both the public sector and private sector, 15 years have been in management roles. Khulile is currently working for Social Housing Regulatory Authority as an Executive Manager Compliance Accreditation and Regulation. Khulile’s experience cuts across Affordable housing Infrastructure delivery, Investment and regulation, Airport infrastructure regulation, broadcasting and Telecommunications regulation and Energy Regulation He has in-depth knowledge and understanding of corporate strategy, corporate governance, and policy and infrastructure regulation. Khulile is a very independent and a dynamic leader with strategic management skills supported by experience and skills in project management environment. Qualifications: Senior Teachers Diploma, B Compt, Masters in Business Leadership


Major General Nhlanhla Ngema

Major General Ngema is acknowledged as the first black airline pilot with an Airline Transport Pilots License (ATPL) in RSA. He is one of the first 5 black pilots in Zimbabwe who started transformation in Zimbabwe Aviation being the only black pilot in the Government flights between 1982-1985. He was co-opted into Air Zimbabwe and chosen as one of the crew members that flew the President as the only black male pilot. In realising the difficulty faced by those previously disadvantaged in entering the Aviation field, Major General Ngema initiated the Aviation Awareness Programme famously known as SIYANDIZA in the South African Air force (SAAF). He went on to establish a Directorate within the SAAF that conducted feasibility studies that drove the establishment of the National Aviation Academy that catered for the previously disadvantaged through coordination with relevant Government Departments. In the Air Force, Major General Ngema introduced many initiatives that addressed Transformation such as the introduction of a side-by-side trainer aircraft that would make it easier for fresh-out-of-school candidates to learn how to fly. In his flying career as a professional pilot, he was admitted as an Honorary member of the Tuskegee Airmen in the USA.


Mr Ameen Amod CD (SA)

Mr Ameen Amod is a Governance Expert with a BComm degree and an MBA degree from the University of Cape Town. He is also a Chartered Director, issued by the Institute of Directors. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Risk Management Assurer (CRMA) and a Certified Government Auditing Professional Auditor (CGAP), all issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has previously chaired the Audit and Risk Committees of the Department of Energy, the Department of Defence, the Railway Safety Regulator, the National Consumer Tribunal, and the Provincial Department of Health, and Social Development amongst others. He has also served on the Audit and Risk Committees of the National Treasury, Accounting Standards Board, and Government Pensions Administration Agency, to name a few. He currently serves on the Audit Committees of the National Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, and the Department of Public Service and Administration.


Ms Princess Mangoma

Princess Mangoma has a vast experience in External Auditing, Internal Auditing, IT Auditing, Risk & Compliance Management, Performance Management and Finance at an operational and strategic level. I serve on different governance structures in various entities in both Public and Private sector. Over the years I have gained full exposure in processes/controls of areas such as Supply chain and procurement, Marketing and Advertising, Finance functions, Risk and Compliance, Human Resource and payroll functions, Performance and IT structures & Information systems The exposure was gained in different industries i.e. Mining, Banking, Retail, Municipalities, Departments, NPO, Universities, Colleges and Private companies.


Dr Malindi Neluheni

Malindi Neluheni, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), where she received a Ph.D. in Architecture (Minor in Engineering). She also studied at Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning where she attained a Master’s degree. She previously held two Chairmanships at aviation focused State Owned Entities in South Africa – the Gateway Airports Authority (Limpopo) as well as the Air Services Licencing Council (National Department of Transport). In addition to serving in various capacities in other public and private entities in South Africa, her experience is multi-pronged spanning infrastructure, transportation and aviation; incorporating participation in professional roles in pertinent institutions in the United States of America. She is the founding Director of the South African College of Aeronautics and Technology (SACAT), a budding private college in Centurion, South Africa.


Ms Siyabonga Gcina Kudumela (PMP)

Siyabonga is a project management professional (PMP) and civil engineer leading a national facilities portfolio of commercial properties. She is a multidisciplinary leader with extensive professional experience in delivering successful improvements for business operations responsible for the strategic direction, vision, growth, and the overall technical operational performance of her portfolios. Over the years, Siyabonga occupied various roles specialising in project and construction management, civil engineering, ESG reporting and analytics and facilities management. Prior to facilities management, Siyabonga occupied a civil engineering role in various sub-sectors within the construction industry with a focus in managing and executing high impact construction projects mainly in transportation. Siyabonga has strong technical skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and an aptitude for exploring business opportunities and takes great pride in consistently producing high standard quality of work and her impactful professional strides made in the industry


Dr Sibongiseni Tunzelana

She have a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information systems (IS) from UCT. She is gazettedas a Commissioner in South African Presidential Commission on the fourth industrialrevolution by the direction of the SA President. She created a first award-winning businessprocess model in data analytics globally, tested in 5 countries. She visited Google in SiliconValley, United States of America (USA), to get expert input in 2008 and 2009. She trail-blazeda 1st Ship Weapon Alignment Tracking Evaluation System in Africa at SA Navy with 100%in 2022. She added value as Divisional Commissioner: Technology Management Services(TMS) at South African Police Service (SAPS) since 2022. She implemented an artificialintelligence (Al)/machine learning (ML) social impact assessor tool reporting onenvironment, social and governance (ESG). She was a Panelist at a 1st intergovernmentalnegotiation of recommendations on ethics of Al for United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2021. She was invited to a 2020 UnitedNations (UN) Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) Youth Bootcamp for robotics and AI in Victoria Falls. She presented in the Top 10 ofthe prestigious International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecom World Awards,recognizing excellence and innovation in Information and Communication Technology(ICT) solutions with social impact from small medium enterprises in 2018. She was the firstChief Information Officer (CIO) at V & A Waterfront in 2015. She was a Web Portal Developerat Increase Network Solution in Netherlands in 1999.
